This week's newsletter is different.
It's personal. It's about something we've all faced at some point.
Restarting.
Maybe you're restarting your fitness journey. A learning habit. A business. A skill. Your creator journey.
For me, it's restarting my writing…through this newsletter, on social media, all of it.
And this week? Week 4 hit differently.
Last week was newsletter number four. A full month of showing up. Writing. Sharing. Being consistent.
At first, it felt rewarding. I was back in the practice. Building a streak.
And then the doubt crept in.
Is anyone even reading this? Does anyone care? Will this ever go anywhere?
You know the feeling. You're doing the work, but you can't see the results yet. And you start wondering if you're wasting your time.
That's when you stop. That's when you think: Why am I even restarting something I left in the past?
And then something happened.
WE GOT A SALE.
Someone bought my ebook…
Right when I needed the reminder. Perfect timing!!
And then I realised…
Consistency works even when you can't see it yet.
WHY RESTARTING IS HARDER THAN STARTING
Here's what I've realised:
When you're brand new, you give yourself grace. You're exploring. You're learning. No one expects anything from you yet.
But when you're restarting…you already know how hard it is. You know how long results take. You feel like people are watching. You beat yourself up for not being further along.
As a beginner: Room for trial. No pressure. Fresh start.
As a restarter: Self-doubt. Impatience. "Can I even do this again?"
That's why most people never restart. The weight of what they left behind is heavier than the excitement of something new.
But here's the thing: There's a reason you feel pulled back to this.
Your gut is telling you something. Maybe the timing was wrong before. Maybe you weren't ready. But now? You are.
So you pick yourself up and get back to work.
HOW TO RESTART (AND NEVER LOOK BACK)
Here's the framework I'm using:
1. Get clear on your why
Why are you restarting this? Not the surface reason, the real one. Write it down.
2. Commit to 30 days of delusional consistency
No measuring. No judging. No overthinking. Just show up every single day.
3. Give yourself 100 days to suck at it
You will not see results immediately. You will feel behind. That's normal. Stack the days anyway.
4. Suddenly, you're back
One day you'll look up and realise you've been doing this for months. You're no longer restarting. You're just doing it.
If you take anything away from this newsletter, it is this:
Everything’s already happening in the background until you see it.
All you got to do is - DO!
What are you restarting right now? Hit reply and tell me. I want to know what you're building (or rebuilding).
Found this helpful? Forward it to a creator who's been stuck at the ‘restart’ phase.
See you next Sunday,
