A lot of you will never start creating content online.

And the big reason isn't that you can't.

It's because you keep thinking:

  • How do I find my niche?

  • What topics am I going to create about?

  • Who will be my target audience?

I was the same.

Until I found something that completely changed my perspective on this.

Let me show you a different way to think about niches…one that actually works in 2026.

THE PROBLEM WITH "FINDING YOUR NICHE"

You sit down to start creating.

You open Instagram.

Then you ChatGPT "how to find your niche"

And you get stuck in analysis paralysis

Every video, article, social media guru tells you to pick ONE thing!!!

So you spend weeks trying to pick the perfect niche

But no one tells you…

The whole "pick a niche" advice is outdated.

It worked in 2018 when Instagram's algorithm needed to categorize your content to know who to show it to.

But in 2026…the algorithm doesn't work like that anymore.

TikTok changed everything. Now platforms prioritize speed and immediate interest over who you follow.

Meaning…

You don't need to niche down like it's 2018.

You can be a multi-interest creator. You can talk about business AND fitness AND productivity.

You ARE already the niche.

YOU ARE THE NICHE

You are already a specific person with a unique worldview.

Your life. Your experiences. Your perspective. Your combination of interests.

No one else has that exact mix.

When you try to narrow yourself down to "just productivity" or "just fitness," you become a glorified search engine.

But when you show up as YOU…with all your interests, stories, and opinions…

You become irreplaceable.

That's a niche of one.

And it's the most powerful positioning you can have.

HOW TO BUILD YOUR "NICHE OF ONE"

If you're just starting and don't know what to post, here's the strategy:

Step 1: Post about everything you're interested in

Yes, everything.

Business, cooking, productivity, fitness, travel…whatever you're naturally drawn to.

Post for 30 days. See what gets traction. See what you enjoy creating. See what people respond to.

The algorithm will tell you what works. Your audience will tell you what resonates.

Step 2: Find your "trunk"

After 30 days, look at your analytics.

Which topic got the most saves? Comments? Shares? Which posts did YOU enjoy making the most?

That's your trunk. Your foundation.

Double down on that one topic first. Build your authority there. Get to 5K-10K followers posting primarily about that.

This gives you credibility. It gives the algorithm something to work with. It gives people a reason to follow you.

Step 3: Branch out

Once you've built a solid trunk (5K-10K followers), start mixing in your other interests.

Now you're not "the productivity guy." You're "the guy who does productivity, fitness, and mindset."

You become multi-dimensional. You become a niche of one.

People follow you for YOU, not just for one topic.

THE FRAMEWORK: TURN YOUR IDENTITY INTO A BRAND

Here's how to structure your "niche of one" so it actually makes sense to people:

Think of your brand like a book. It has four sections:

1. The Story

Where you started. The struggle you faced. The turning point. What you achieved.

2. The Philosophy

Your version of "the good life." What you stand for. What you're against.

3. Education

Teach the skills people need to get to your version of the good life.

4. Practice

Give them step-by-step systems they can use to get results.

When you show up with all four of these, you're not just posting content. You're building a brand people can't ignore.

YOUR 10-MINUTE ACTION

Put a timer on. Here's what you're doing:

  1. Write down 3 topics you could talk about (2 minutes)

Don't overthink it. What are you naturally interested in? What do friends ask you about?

  2. Pick ONE to start with (1 minute)

This is your trunk. You'll branch out later. Just pick the one that feels most natural.

  3. Open Instagram and find 5 creators in that space (3 minutes)

Study their top posts. What formats are working? What topics get engagement?

  4. Write 3 post ideas on that topic (3 minutes)

Use this format: [Problem your audience has] → [Quick solution] → [One action to take]

  5. Post one of them today (1 minute)

Don't perfect it. Don't overthink it. Just post.

Done. You just started your niche of one.

Pro tip: Your niche doesn't find you in your head. It finds you in the doing. Post. Adjust. Repeat. The algorithm and your audience will tell you what works.

Still stuck on what to post? Reply with 3 topics you're interested in and I'll tell you which one to start with and why.
